November 25, 2020 "We have offered our utmost willingness to collaborate with the government: the common goal is to reopen schools. A goal with all evidence of interest for children and young people in the dual perspective of containing early school leaving and indispensable sociality ensured in the first classes ".



This was stated by the president of Anci and mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro, at the end of the meeting called by the Minister of Education, Lucia Azzolina, which involved all the metropolitan mayors. 



"Our maximum and unified willingness to collaborate, however, cannot ignore some nodes on which we have returned to urge the minister and, through her, the entire government: we must intervene so that truly staggered entry and exit times are set and on the increase of means of transport, especially suburban ones, in order to ensure that crowds on buses and at stops are avoided ".



Decaro added, "univocal and clear health protocols are also needed to establish the methods of tracing, quarantine and use of rapid tests. During the meeting, the need for technological adaptation of schools to allow for distance learning rely on efficient connections ".
