Leipzig (dpa) - The Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig is negotiating a lawsuit about armed US drone operations in Yemen today.

The issue here is what responsibility the federal government bears.

Three Yemenis who lost two relatives in an attack in 2012 have sued - innocent civilians, according to them.

They want the federal government to stop armed drone operations for which the technical facilities of the US air force base in Ramstein, Palatinate are used.

In the lower court, the plaintiffs achieved partial success.

The Higher Administrative Court in Münster decided that the federal government had to actively investigate whether the drone operations violated international law.

The revision against this decision will be negotiated from 10 a.m. in Leipzig.

When a judgment will be made is open.
