Reuters reported that the death was a heart attack, citing the deceased's lawyer.
Maradona, who led Argentina's victory in the 1986 World Cup, is currently the manager of the Argentine pro team Himnacia, and was discharged from the hospital after undergoing brain surgery earlier this month.
