“The main figure that we rely on when we talk about a complete lockdown is the extreme workload of our medical system.

If we talk about today's dynamics and the number of patients who are hospitalized from the total number of cases, then we can say that this can be done from 25 to 30 thousand (new cases per day), ”Stepanov said.

He noted that in this case, the occupancy of the medical system may be more than 75-80%, "and this is already a serious threat."

Stepanov added that now in the country as a whole, 52% of beds for those infected with coronavirus are occupied.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the number of COVID-19 cases in Ukraine increased by 12,287 per day.
