On Monday, the Healthcare Association sharply criticized Storuman's municipality.

It was thought that the municipality should have allowed coronated staff without symptoms to be home from work while they waited for test results.

- The staff has been tested for covid-19, but then forced to work while waiting for test results, which is not patient safe and completely unacceptable, said Vårdförbundets Västerbotten's chairman Jenny Olsson on Monday.

But the municipality does not agree, but believes that no asymptomatic of the staff tested for covid-19 would have been forced to work while they waited for their test results.

- I have not received any indications that someone without symptoms would have wanted to go home waiting for test results.

On the contrary, there is a spirit here where people join in and want to help, says Patrik Nilsson, social manager.

"Gone right to"

Maria Johansson, elected representative in the Care Association in Storuman, is on the municipality's side.

- I think they have acted as best they could.

The existing recommendations have been followed and an entire staff group has been screened to detect potentially infected people who did not have symptoms.

But no one had symptoms and was at work.

While waiting for test results, as long as you are symptom-free, you can be at work, says Maria Johansson to Swedish Radio.
