Chinanews.com, November 24. According to the US "World Journal" report, California has tightened epidemic prevention, and San Francisco is also nervous. It is expected to enter the most serious "purple" epidemic surveillance level within this week and implement a curfew.

It is said that the diagnosis rate in many Chinese-American communities in San Francisco has remained low, and the number of confirmed cases has been relatively small.

According to the San Francisco Department of Health, the number of confirmed cases in the city has skyrocketed in the past month.

The number of confirmed cases per day under the seven-day average calculation has surged from 30 to the current average of nearly 100 cases per day.

However, most of the areas with the lowest diagnosis rate in the city are ethnic Chinese communities, and they are all in the west of the city.

From October 21 to November 19, the city’s diagnosis rate remained below 15 cases per 10,000 people. There were only nine communities, and more than half were ethnic Chinese communities.

Although the overall diagnosis rate in Chinese communities is low, Asians still account for the largest proportion of the 158 deaths from new crowns in the city, reaching 38%.

Followed by Hispanics and whites.

It is reported that San Francisco will enter the purple level within this week. After confirmation, a curfew will be imposed within two days. Non-essential work and commercial activities must stop operating from 10 pm to 5 am.
