Prevent a rebound of the new crown pneumonia epidemic during the peak travel period of the New Year.

This is the eighth time that Thailand has extended the implementation period since the implementation of the State of Emergency Law in March this year.

On the same day, Thailand's New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Management Center notified that there were 7 newly imported confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, all of which were confirmed during the quarantine period.

So far, Thailand has a total of 3,920 confirmed cases, of which 3766 were cured, 60 died, and 94 were still hospitalized.

In recent months, with the improvement of the domestic epidemic situation, various activities in Thailand have gradually returned to normal, but the entry of foreign tourists is still strictly controlled.

The Thai government has implemented a special tourist visa program since October, allowing tourists from some countries and regions with well-controlled epidemics to enter to help revitalize the tourism industry. However, the country is still closed to most foreign tourists.
