He noted that it is now necessary to combine efforts to combat coronavirus, climate change and security issues.

Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a telephone conversation with Biden, during which she expressed hope for a trusting future cooperation. 

On November 7, a number of media outlets, including CNN, AP, NBC and Fox News, announced Biden's victory in the US presidential election.

Biden later declared himself the winner of the presidential election.

The incumbent President Donald Trump attributed Biden's leadership to the fact that the elections were rigged.

He promised serious lawsuits to prove the unconstitutionality of the last US elections.
