In the past week, good news spread frequently across the country. Ningxia, Sichuan, Guangxi, and Gansu successively announced the "clearing" of poor counties.

And yesterday (22nd), all the last nine impoverished counties in Guizhou got out of poverty and entered the last day of publicity.

This marks the countdown to the countdown of all 52 poverty-stricken counties that have been listed for supervision this year.

　　In 2014, the list of 832 poverty-stricken counties across the country was announced, involving 22 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

Among them, Tibet has the highest coverage of impoverished counties, and all 74 counties in the region are impoverished counties.

At that time, the total area of ​​poverty-stricken counties in the country accounted for half of the total area of ​​the country. About one out of every three counties in the country was a poverty-stricken county, and there were only nine provinces without poverty-stricken counties.

　　Nowadays, as the pace of poverty alleviation continues to move forward, these impoverished counties have lifted their hats one by one, and the number of impoverished counties will soon be cleared.

Beginning in 2016, my country's poor counties have been lifted out of poverty year by year, and the number of withdrawals reached a peak in 2019.

For seven consecutive years, my country’s poverty reduction has exceeded 10 million people each year. The number of poor people has dropped from 98.99 million at the end of 2012 to 5.51 million at the end of 2019, and the incidence of poverty has dropped from 10.2% to 0.6%.

　　At the beginning of this year, the State Council’s Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development implemented the listing and supervision of 52 impoverished counties that did not take off their hats at the end of 2019.

As of November 21, 43 out of these 52 counties have exited the poverty-stricken counties sequence.

The "Poverty Alleviation Group" will soon be all members, and the absolute poverty problem that has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years will be solved historically.
