"Arancha Gonzalez Laya spoke with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov," the Spanish Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

It added that the ministers "touched upon (issues) COVID-19, terrorism, the situation in Libya and Belarus and bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, security, tourism, science and education."
