According to an exclusive BVA survey for Europe 1, 6 out of 10 French people are up for getting vaccinated against the coronavirus.

But only 20% plan to do so as soon as possible.

For the rest of the respondents, the concern about the speed of vaccine development and potential side effects is too high.

EXCLUSIVE

A vaccine that divides the French.

While the ebb of the second wave is confirmed in France, 60% of French people expect to be vaccinated according to an exclusive BVA * survey for Europe 1. A majority in the form of good news in a country where scientists are worried about the mistrust of the population towards vaccines.

But this "yes" of just over half of those polled is not without concession.

20% of French people plan to get vaccinated as soon as possible

This is also the other lesson of this survey: only 20% of French people plan to do so as soon as possible.

The others, worried, prefer to wait a few weeks, or even a few months, and are the symbol of this part of the population which wonders about the speed of conception of the vaccine and the potential side effects.

A question that also torments 73% of French people, who do not want to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

No more "yes" to a vaccine from a European or French laboratory

As for the source of the vaccine, it is also important.

If 6 out of 10 people declare that the country of belonging of the pharmaceutical laboratory which will have found the serum is not decisive in their choice.

The answers differ when it comes to specific countries.

Thus, less than 20% of French people would accept a vaccine if it was designed in a Russian (19%) or Chinese (17%) pharmaceutical laboratory.

Conversely, they are 64% to say "yes" to a vaccine from a European laboratory, and even more numerous, 72%, if it came from a French laboratory.
