Elmshorn (dpa / lno) - After being asked to wear a mouth and nose cover during a train journey, a 24-year-old attacked a train attendant.

According to initial findings, the man was on the train from Hamburg to Elmshorn on Friday evening without mouth and nose protection when the inspector made him aware of the corona rules, as the police announced on Monday.

He then threw deodorant cans at the woman.

The man was also unable to show a ticket at first.

Once in Elmshorn, the alleged dodger was expected by four federal police officers.

The train attendant was not injured in the attack.

Fireworks were also found in the man's luggage, the police said.
