Previously, Kungsbacka and Halmstad have decided to conduct part of the municipal upper secondary education at a distance.

Now Laholm, Varberg and Falkenberg have also partly switched to distance education.

This is what it looks like in the Halland municipalities.

Falkenberg

About 200 high school students will receive distance learning each week.

Those who attend the second and third year of all university preparatory programs will be allowed to be in school every other week, and those who attend the introductory programs will receive distance education two days a week.

The decision is valid until the Christmas holidays.

Other students at the school are not affected by the decision.

Halmstad

At Halmstad municipal upper secondary schools, the year groups will take turns studying from home every three weeks.

This affects most high school students in the municipality, but for many students who read the vocational programs will continue to have their teaching in place at the school.

Kungsbacka

Students in grades two and three will alternate distance learning with classroom instruction and will take turns being in school every two weeks.

The students in year one will not be affected.

As fewer students will be in place at the school, it will be easier to keep your distance.

- We find it easier to spread large classes in more premises, when not all students are in place at the same time, says Cynthia Runefjärd, head of administration at Gymnasium and the labor market in Kungsbacka municipality.

Laholm

To reduce the congestion in Osbecksgymnasiet's premises, a schedule has been developed where on-site teaching is combined with distance education, this starting on Monday 23 November.

With a rolling schedule, a third of the students will receive distance education and study from home.

The students have been informed about the temporary schedule and according to the municipality, it is clear which days they are on site and which days they are at home.

- The hope is that this decision will lead to reduced congestion and create an environment that reduces the risk of infection.

At the same time, both the students 'and teachers' work environment is taken into account, says Andreas Meimermondt, operations manager for culture and development, in a statement on the municipality's website.

Varberg

Tobias Ramstedt, head of upper secondary school in Varberg municipality, says that until the Christmas holidays, partial distance education is introduced.

- We will have one year at a time at a distance.

We hope that this will reduce congestion and at the same time not restrict the students' teaching too much, he says.

The vocational programs and the aesthetics program will be more in place in the school.

- It is not so easy to teach, for example, welding at a distance, states Tobias Ramstedt.
