The night from Sunday to Monday was dramatic in Montbéliard.

A 26-year-old man died in the city of Doubs after a stabbing fight between three people, one of whom went to the police.

“We have a person in custody for stabbing murder,” Montbéliard prosecutor Ariane Combarel said.

The facts took place around 1 a.m.

During the violence, a 26-year-old man was injured in the thigh, said a police source.

He died shortly after in hospital.

Three hours later, at around 4 a.m., the alleged perpetrator, aged 34, contacted the police station to report.

He was arrested at his home and was therefore taken into police custody.
