Patrick Quinn, co-creator of the'Ice Bucket Challenge' held by people from all over the world, died after fighting Lou Gehrig's disease for 7 years.

On the 22nd local time, Queen, the co-organizer of the Ice Bucket Challenge, passed away at the age of 37. 



The Lou Gehrig's Disease Association tweeted, "Queen, the co-producer of the Ice Bucket Challenge, has passed away and is very sad." 



The Lou Gehrig's disease community also commemorated on Facebook that "We are very sad to share the news of Patrick this morning," and "We will always remember his inspiration and courage."



The funds raised through this campaign amounted to $220 million and KRW 245 billion in our money, and were used to develop new drugs for ALS. 



Lou Gehrig's disease is a rare neurodegenerative disease in which the muscles of the whole body including the tongue, neck, and limbs are degenerated and paralyzed as the motor neurons necessary for the muscle movement of the body are destroyed.
