FDA President Trump also uses antibody drug Urgent license permission November 22, 18:43

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has shown some effect on patients at high risk of worsening symptoms for antibody drugs that were being developed by an American pharmaceutical company and were also used when President Trump was infected with the new coronavirus. I issued an urgent license to use it.

The FDA announced on the 21st that American pharmaceutical company Regeneron has issued an urgent license to treat a combination of two antibody drugs under development as a treatment for the new coronavirus.

It can be used by patients aged 12 years or older, weighing 40 kg or more, and at high risk of becoming severe with the new coronavirus.

Antibody drugs artificially create substances called antibodies that eliminate foreign substances in the body and administer them as drugs to patients.

According to the FDA, a combination of these two antibody medications has been shown to reduce the rate of hospitalization and emergency treatment when given to patients at high risk of worsening symptoms.

For this reason, the FDA says that regeneron antibody drug treatment is more effective than risk.

On the other hand, it has not been shown to be effective for patients who have already been hospitalized or who require mechanical ventilation, and administration is not permitted because it may worsen the symptoms.

This antibody drug from Regeneron was given last month when President Trump was hospitalized with a new coronavirus infection.
