The Ethiopian ambassador to Khartoum, Pelital Imro, said that his country is not afraid of maneuvers between the Sudanese and Egyptian armies in Sudanese territory.

The Ethiopian ambassador told the Sudanese newspaper, Al-Sudani, that Sudan is a sovereign state and has full right to what it does. It is not obligated to consult any country to conduct such military maneuvers with Egypt or any other country.

He stressed that they are fully confident and do not fear or expect something bad to happen by Khartoum, and said: "Perhaps the other party wants to send a message or express its intentions to us or to others."

He added, "The event itself does not require looking at it with suspicion or suspicion and giving it any value, because we are fully convinced that no evil will come to us from the Sudanese government."

Egyptian and Sudanese special air forces are conducting the first joint combat maneuvers between the two sides, under the slogan "Nile Eagles - 1".
