On November 16, the CEC reported that in the second round of the presidential elections in Moldova, Maia Sandu gained 57.74%, while the current Moldovan leader Igor Dodon - 42.26%. 

Later, Russian leader Vladimir Putin sent Sanda a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of her victory in the presidential elections in Moldova.
