The MP noted that due to the aggravation of the situation related to COVID-19, some regions have decided to transfer higher education institutions to distance learning.

“It is extremely difficult for students who are far from educational institutions, who do not have access to libraries with specialized scientific literature, and who do not have the possibility of face-to-face communication with teachers, to organize high-quality self-study,” the appeal says.

According to Sukharev, such restrictions may adversely affect the results of the winter session, including the loss of scholarships.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the possibility of preserving scholarships for students of higher educational institutions who have been transferred to distance learning, regardless of the test results of the academic year 2020/21,” the appeal emphasizes.

Earlier it became known about the plans of the Ministry of Education and Science to hold a winter session in a remote format at Russian universities.
