In the continuity of its historic victory against New Zealand, Argentina will present the same starting XV on Saturday in Rugby Championship against Australia, which also remains on a success against the All Blacks.

Pumas coach Mario Ledesma has therefore renewed, around his captain Pablo Matera and his opener Nicolas Sanchez, both from the Stade Français, the same team as on November 14, now a historic date for the Argentines, that of the first success of their history against the All Blacks.

Faced with these Pumas Saturday (08:45 GMT, 09:45 French, 19:45 local), the coach of the Wallabies Dave Rennie will also trust the victorious team of the Blacks on November 7 (24-22), with three nuances: on the front line , mainstay Scott Sio and Taniela Tupou, and third row Ned Hanigan, will start the match this time.

Returning from injury, Sio replaces injured James Slipper and will start his first international game since the 2019 World Cup. Tupou has been preferred over Allan Alaalatoa, who will sit on the bench.

And flanker Hanigan will replace Lachlan Swinton, sent off in the last game and suspended for four weeks.

The Wallabies must win on Saturday to hope to win the Rugby Championship, which is played entirely in Australia this year and which took the form of a Tri-Nations after the withdrawal of South Africa, world champion.

The three participating nations each have one victory, but only Argentina have played only one game so far.
