Corona vaccine under development in the UK Confirmed and announced immune response in all age groups November 19, 23:33

Oxford University in the United Kingdom announced research results that an immune response was confirmed in all age groups including the elderly for the new coronavirus vaccine that is being developed with pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca.

Oxford University is working with AstraZeneca to develop a vaccine for the new coronavirus, and the results of the second phase of a three-stage clinical trial were published in the British medical journal The Lancet on the 19th.

According to it, when 560 healthy people over the age of 18 were vaccinated, an immune response was confirmed in all age groups.

The immune response was confirmed in people over the age of 56, including the elderly, in much the same way as younger people.

Elderly people are at higher risk of becoming more severe with the new coronavirus, so the research group says it is "encouraging."

The research group hopes to reach a conclusion next month as to whether this vaccine is effective in preventing infection, based on the final stage of testing currently underway.
