The Embassy of Riyadh in Manila announced today, Wednesday, the arrival of a high-level Saudi security delegation to the Philippines to coordinate with the Philippine authorities to know the ongoing procedures and investigations in the case of the disappearance of pilot Abdullah Al-Sharif.

The embassy said in a statement published by Saudi newspapers on its websites today, Wednesday, that it is still following the issue of the disappearance of the honorable pilot, who was lost contact during a training flight with his Filipino instructor on the island of Manduro, southern Philippines, in May 2019.

The Saudi pilot disappeared in mysterious circumstances in May 2019, amid suspicions that his Filipino coach was involved in his disappearance.

The search teams in the Philippines confirmed that they had found important information, which is that the mobile phones that the two missing pilots were carrying are still working and receiving specific communications.

Also, the technical information confirms that the plane did not fall, after verification by researchers.

In turn, the family of the missing Saudi pilot said: "The search and rescue teams did not result in their search to find any wreckage, body parts, or belongings of the aircraft under water or over water."

Abdullah Al-Sharif is studying with his brother in the Philippines at their own expense, and they went to train, and Abdullah went out with his coach to train to disappear on May 17, and no trace of them was found until now.

After an extensive search, only a suitcase was found containing the pilot’s identity card (the trainer), bank cards and photos of him with a fisherman.

Al-Sharif's family confirmed that the information they had indicated that the plane was hidden and had not crashed, and that Abdullah and his Filipino coach escort were alive, calling on the Saudi embassy to make more efforts.
