He will appear before the Nantes Criminal Court next May.

A 20-year-old man was arrested in Mauves-sur-Loire, east of Nantes, for physical violence and death threats against the police, reports the Loire-Atlantique gendarmerie .

The facts happened on Saturday morning.

The Carquefou gendarmerie was called upon for findings on a damaged vehicle.

According to the owner, the damage was committed by his ex-partner.

The gendarmes were therefore there when the son of the ex-wife landed, annoyed, and attacked the owner.

One of the gendarmes intervened but received, in reaction, several punches in the face.

The young man aggravated his case by threatening to kill and insulting the patrol.

He was finally brought under control when reinforcements arrived and then placed in police custody.

He will be prosecuted for aggravated violence, death threats, contempt and rebellion.

As for the gendarme injured in the face, he was the subject of two days of total incapacity for work (ITT).
