Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday requested Parliament's permission to send military personnel to Azerbaijan to participate in a Russian-Turkish ceasefire monitoring mission in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The motion should be adopted without difficulty on Tuesday in the Turkish Parliament.

This motion signed by the hand of Recep Tayyip Erdogan provides for the deployment of Turkish soldiers in Azerbaijan to "
take part in the activities of the coordination center which will be established with Russia
", "to
ensure respect for the ceasefire
", or even "To
establish peace and stability in the region to protect the interests of Turkey
".
This authorization will be valid for a period of one year, but the extent of the deployment, in particular the number of soldiers who will be mobilized, will be fixed later by the Head of State.
The terms of the motion are therefore rather vague, as is for the moment the mission of these Turkish soldiers.
A "peacekeeping center" is well provided for in the
agreement
signed by Armenia and Azerbaijan under
Russian mediation
, but Turkey is absent from the text.
Ankara and Moscow then signed an agreement confirming the creation of the center, however its modalities of operation are currently the subject of discussions between the two countries.
The Russian authorities have already indicated that the Turkish soldiers would have no field mission and that the center would guarantee "technical" monitoring of the ceasefire.
The
Turkey
, which considers the victory of Azerbaijan is also hers as his military and operational assistance has been decisive, intends to play a leading role in this process.
