Mohammed bin Zayed receives the President of Armenia and discusses cooperation relations

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkisyan, who is on a working visit to the country.
His Highness and President Armin Sarkisian discussed, during the meeting that took place at the Beach Palace in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, relations of friendship and cooperation and ways to develop them in order to achieve the mutual interests of the two countries and their peoples, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of the President of Armenia to the UAE, and conveyed to him the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his wishes for his ancient country, all progress and prosperity.
His Highness and the guest president reviewed the various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, especially development, economic and investment that serve the development process in the UAE and Armenia, and achieve their common aspirations.
The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of common interest, including the two countries' efforts to confront the global challenge of the "Corona" pandemic, and the possibilities for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in this regard, and they touched upon developments in the Central Asian and Caucasus regions.
In this regard, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s support for the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, wishing that the “comprehensive ceasefire” agreement between the two countries friendly to the UAE would be a step towards a lasting and stable peace that would turn the page of this conflict. And it strengthens the foundations of stability in the Caucasus.
For his part, the President of Armenia thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support and advancement of relations between the two countries at all levels, stressing his keenness to strengthen the relations between Armenia and the UAE, which are witnessing development in various fields.
Sarkisian also expressed his appreciation for the role the UAE plays in providing support and aid to various countries and peoples, especially during the spread of the Corona pandemic around the world.
