While the second confinement came into force two weeks ago, the Crous continues to offer meals to all students in the Loire region.

In Nantes, six cafeterias are concerned.

University restaurants are closed but cafeterias are open Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to allow students to continue to enjoy meals at a lower cost.

The only change is that take-out is compulsory due to sanitary measures.

A meal at 1 euro for scholarship students

The meals offered are complete (hot dish or sandwich, drink, dessert) and cost 3.30 euros for non-scholarship students.

Since the start of the 2020 school year, scholarship students have access to a full meal, the Easy menu, for only 1 euro.

This is the case of Nathan, a first year student of Biology-Geosciences-Chemistry who came to pick up his lunch at the Tertre cafeteria on Monday noon.

"I have been coming to this cafeteria since the start of confinement."

As long as it's open I take advantage.

I'm a ten minute walk away so it's convenient.

And then, a meal for one euro for a sandwich, a drink and a dessert, it's great.

It is much cheaper than eating at home.

"

To access the structures, the students, much less numerous to come than usual, must bring a travel certificate and have checked the box "travel to make essential purchases".
