The National Police have arrested
five employees of the Amazon logistics center in San Fernando de Henares
accused of stealing 500,000 euros in mobile phones.
The agents have intervened 10 high-end telephones at the time of their arrest and a large number of stickers with
imei
, the unique identifier of each device.
The thieves tore the codes that identify the device from the boxes of the telephones to hinder the police investigation.
It was all started by
an internal investigation by the company's security department that discovered that high-end mobile phones were missing.
It was calculated that the stolen cell phones could be worth around half a million euros.
The agents of the Judicial Police team of the Coslada San Fernando police station continued with the inquiries and the investigations made it possible to discover how the employees acted to remove the Apple brand mobile phones, some valued at 1,600 euros.
The agents managed to locate the suspects with the help of hidden security cameras at points where the robberies took place.
Three of those involved were arrested as they left his job at 23.30

The fourth was arrested inside the center while working the morning shift.
The fifth person involved voluntarily appeared at the police station.
The police investigation is still open to try to locate the route and destination of the stolen mobile phones and, where appropriate, proceed to the arrest of possible fencers or buyers.
All those arrested have been expelled from the company.
The Amazon company has preferred not to make any kind of manifestation of the case.
Last year the National Police also arrested another Amazon employee for
allegedly stealing gender worth 300,000 euros by
creating a network with external collaborators who placed low-value orders and received high-end products.
The investigation also began when the company's security department detected in the distribution area five packages whose weights when leaving the center did not coincide with those entering,
discovering that instead of finding the object acquired by the customer there were high-end mobile phones and electronic watches.
