Over the weekend, Trump supporters gathered in Washington DC to protest, convinced that election fraud had taken place in the US presidential election.

There were also counter-protesters on the ground and in both camps there were groups that are prone to violence.

After the election, President Donald Trump did not want to admit defeat and claimed that the election was "rigged".

- An opinion poll shows that 70 percent of Republicans do not believe that the election was fair, says Fernando Arias.

Supported by Congress

Several Republicans have criticized Donald Trump's actions, including his former chief of staff John Kelly and fired national security adviser John Bolton.
