14 November 2020 The results of the biological sampling on 2,400 mink heads are expected, under health restrictions.

The Nas of the Health Protection Group of Rome ordered it in the farms, with the veterinary services of the ASL.

The precautionary measure was taken after identifying a garment in precarious conditions.



During the week, the soldiers of the Carabinieri Group for the Protection of Health of Rome carried out a monitoring of the mink farms in the territory of Central Italy, as part of services for the covid-19 emergency.

In all, the checks involved 3 farms in the provinces of Forlì, Ravenna and L'Aquila.



In all 3 farms inspected, regular compliance with the biosecurity standards and the envisaged Covid-19 protocols was found and the absence of clinical symptoms referable to Sars - Cov-2 infection, or other respiratory diseases.

Only in one case, the one where the measure was triggered, explains a note from the Nas, "we proceeded, as a precaution and to safeguard public health".
