Canadian authorities are concerned about the increase in coronavirus cases in the country, particularly in the two most populous provinces, Quebec and Ontario.
Measures to restrict social contact will soon come into effect in Toronto, while in Quebec, the increase in school cases is alarming the government.

Medical experts have sounded the alarm in Ontario, Canada's most populous province.
If nothing is done, they predict that the number of people with the coronavirus could be multiplied by five by the beginning of December.
The warning prompted Prime Minister Doug Ford to limit the opening of bars and restaurants and ban private gatherings at homes in some areas.

As Prime Minister, I cannot accept this, and I will not accept it
,” he said.

We must take all possible measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
We must prevent our hospitals from being overwhelmed
”.
Fewer students in class or more holidays at Christmas?
In Quebec, the number of classes closed due to contamination has doubled in recent days.
While the government juggles with the idea of extending the Christmas holidays or halving the number of students in class, the member of the Parti Québécois, in the opposition, gives her advice.
"
It is time to put all the means in place on the ventilation side, the half-class attendance side and the screening prioritization side
," she said.
For his part, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is calling on the provinces to impose more restrictions.
