The shock between Clermont (2nd) and Lyon (3rd), scheduled for Sunday at the end of the 9th day of the Top 14, is postponed to November 21 due to at least three cases of Covid-19 among the Lyon workforce, announced Friday the National Rugby League (LNR).

"Following regular screenings imposed by the NRL health protocol, more than two members of the LOU professional group have tested positive for COVID-19," the club wrote on Twitter.

The match will therefore take place on Saturday, November 21 "at the end of the day," said the League on Friday evening, which had previously postponed the other match scheduled for Sunday between the Stade Français and La Rochelle from 19:00 to 21:05.

Lyon had already had to temporarily give up the reception of Montpellier, at the end of October, for the same reason, the health protocol of the NRL recommending a postponement from three cases over seven rolling days in a workforce.

This match was failed on January 6, a Wednesday.

At the end of August and the beginning of September, several players of the Lyon club had been affected by the virus but the LOU, by canceling in particular a friendly match planned against Clermont, had managed to contain the contagion to start the championship on time at the beginning of September.

Lyon, which has just chained two away successes in Toulouse and Agen, is currently 3rd in the standings behind La Rochelle and Clermont.
