The Bordeaux-Bègles Union won on the wire (30-29) in Castres, the former team of its manager Christophe Urios, on a test at the siren of Afa Amosa on Friday at the opening of the 9th day of Top 14.

The UBB, which won its third victory in a row, made a provisional leap in the standings by moving up to 5th place.

The CO remains 12th.

The Tarnais, who saw two of their tries refused by the referee, the first for a forward pass and the second for an obstruction from Thomas Combezou, resented the referee, Mr. Castagnède.

They accuse him of having targeted their scrum-half Rory Kockott, known for his aggressiveness, and on the contrary of having spared the Bordeaux opener Matthieu Jalibert.

The latter slightly pushed the Castres rear Julien Dumora entering the field, when he had been replaced by Ben Botica, to celebrate the victory test.

"It was not necessarily voluntary, we collided," said Jalibert on Canal +.
