He was caught taking a "large bottle of what appears to be nitrous oxide" from the trunk of his car.

A 21-year-old young man was arrested by the Nantes anti-crime brigade on Thursday evening, while he was engaged in the street selling of this laughing gas, police reports.

A 16-year-old teenager had just handed the suspect the sum of 40 euros against several bottles and balloons when the arrest took place, shortly before 8 p.m., along Boulevard du Tertre.

Bottles, balloons and tips uncovered

A search of the seller and in his car revealed eight large-format bottles, 200 balloons, several aromas, as well as a bag containing 84 tips intended for the consumption of the "proto", which develops among young people who use it as a drug.

The suspect had on him the sum of 295 euros in cash, "which he indicated to come from his illicit trade", reports the police who are continuing their investigation.
