The Ministry provides, through a questionnaire on its website, the opportunity for students, teachers, educators, and any official in a government or private entity, and parents of students, to share their opinions and suggestions to upgrade students 'and workers' skills to keep pace with future labor market requirements through the 'We Make Our Policies' platform.

The ministry’s questionnaire includes two parts: the first is through the platform “We Make Our Policies - for Education Policy Dialogues”, which is an interactive platform launched by the Ministry to engage the community, whether students, their parents, or the educational field in developing and reviewing educational policies in the country. The ministry aims to make the platform a participatory station with the community to create The future of education in the UAE together.

The ministry stated that participants can register their participation in a draft on the future of education spaces, and the skills of the future generation.

Regarding the second part about “future skills in the labor market,” the Ministry called for participation in defining the school’s role in qualifying students to obtain a number of skills for the labor market through the curriculum or school activities, which include 14 skills, including scientific skills that focus on The ability to use scientific knowledge and principles to understand the surrounding environment and test hypotheses.

And the skill of critical thinking, which focuses on the student's ability to make multiple relationships as well as identifying, analyzing and evaluating situations, ideas and information to formulate responses and solutions, as well as the skill of creativity, which is the ability to imagine and devise new and innovative ways to address problems, answer questions, or express through an application or combination Or reorientation of knowledge, a communication skill that focuses on the student's ability to listen, understand, convey and define the context of information through verbal, non-verbal, visual and written means.

Among the skills are cooperation, which means the ability to work in a team to achieve a common goal, adjust responses to the actions and behaviors of others as needed in order to achieve the goals of the group, and the skill of adaptation, which is the ability to change plans, methodologies, opinions or career future in light of new information, circumstances or developments. Technical, leadership skill that means the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team work by setting goals, controlling team members, and supporting them in the pursuit of those goals.

The Ministry's questionnaire included labor market skills, social and cultural awareness, which means the ability to deal with differences, reconcile differences, and interact with others in a socially, culturally and ethically appropriate manner, in addition to empathy, which means the ability to recognize the reactions of others and understand their behavior, as well as the self-development that Focuses on self-confidence and the pursuit of self-development through dedication and hard work.

A comprehensive development plan

Finally, the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Fifty-Year Preparedness Committee, launched the "50 by 50" initiative to involve students in state schools in designing the axes and components of the comprehensive development plan for the next fifty years, as part of the national efforts to implement the fifty-year design project.

The Ministry stated that the project, which is supervised by the Fifty Preparation Committee, aims to involve all groups and individuals of society in designing the comprehensive development plan for the UAE.
