A 57-year-old man was arrested Monday, in Pierric, near Châteaubriant, north of Loire-Atlantique, for an unusual possession of narcotics, reports the national gendarmerie.

Alerted by a report, the gendarmes went to his home.

They were not disappointed with the discovery.

There, no less than 244 feet of cannabis was growing illegally.

Sophisticated operating equipment (culture chamber, heating, etc.) was also seized.

What feed a lot of traffic.

The respondent, an individual without history with "comfortable income" according to the gendarmerie, claimed a "farmer's soul".

He claims to use all this cannabis to power a micro-brewery as well as to make soaps!

He will be presented to justice next June.
