Verdandi in Örebro exists for vulnerable groups in society and conducts, among other things, open activities for people who for various reasons need to meet others.

- We have breakfast every day, it's a lot about basic everyday things, but also finding positive things to do in life and breaking patterns, says Ann-Mari Wulfstrand Byhlin, who is chairman of the association.

As you are now in a difficult financial situation, where there is no money to pay employees' salaries for October and November, the business may need to cut back.

The association grant was reduced

In December last year, the association grant was reduced by 8.5 per cent in the program committee social welfare, as the committee needed to be more efficient.

A large part of the grant goes to salaries and premises for Verdandi, and it has been difficult to adjust.

Therefore, the association is now applying for a quarter of a million advance payment on the grant to be paid out next year.

- Verdandi receives SEK 1,975,000 per year approximately.

Now they have come in with an application of a little more than 10 percent of what they will receive in 2021. It will be looked at and answered shortly.

I see no drama in the application, says John Johansson (S), chairman of the program committee social welfare.
