In 2019, the Ministry of Civil Affairs conducted investigations on illegal social organizations that were banned in the early stage in conjunction with public reports, and found that some illegal websites were still operating.
In order to further consolidate the results of the special action against illegal social organizations, eradicate the foundation of illegal social organization network activities, form a closed loop of offline and online governance, and create a clear cyberspace, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, together with relevant departments, act immediately, in accordance with the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China The relevant provisions of the "Internet Information Service Management Measures" were divided into two batches to shut down 23 illegal social organization websites, including the China Solar Thermal Utilization Industry Alliance and the China Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and Development Working Committee, and their WeChat official accounts and Weibo accounts. Stopped, achieved good results and was welcomed by the masses.
This shutdown is the third batch, involving 32 illegal social organizations including China Academy of Art, Guoxue Culture and Art Center, China Qingfeng Painting and Calligraphy Association, China Environmental Cleaning Industry Association, and China Headquarters of the Cradle of the Universe Committee.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs has "zero tolerance" for illegal social organizations. In the next step, it will continue to maintain its crackdown, strengthen online inspections and investigations, and conduct simultaneous investigations and punishments offline and online, and resolutely squeeze the space for illegal social organizations.
For the promoters of illegal social organizations that are bad in nature and have not changed after repeated instruction, relevant departments will also be asked to be included in the blacklist of illegal Internet sites (sponsors) in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs has realized real-time collection of social organization information registered by civil affairs departments at all levels. Up to now, a total of 890,000 social organizations have been registered.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs reminds the public to pay attention to verifying their legal identity when participating in the activities of relevant organizations.
The registration information of social organizations can be inquired online through the China Social Organization Public Service Platform (www.chinanpo.gov.cn), China Social Organization Dynamic Government WeChat (WeChat: chinanpogov), and the National Social Organization Legal Person Bank Mini Program.
