The Kremlin commented on the situation with the peacekeepers in Karabakh

The stop took place by agreement of the warring parties, that is, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The peacekeepers are called upon to record and maintain the ceasefire, ”he said.

Peskov also said that the Russian peacekeepers are armed and equipped with certain equipment in accordance with the agreement reached.

The Kremlin added that the functions of the peacekeepers are to be clarified.

Peskov also said that there was no talk about the possible protection of religious sites by peacekeepers.

In addition, Peskov said that Russia and Turkey will interact through a monitoring center on the territory of Azerbaijan. 

"The area of ​​interaction will be on the territory of Azerbaijan, it will not be Karabakh, we are talking about a monitoring center," he said.

On the night of November 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a ceasefire declaration in Karabakh. 

Respect for peace in the region along the line of contact will be controlled by Russian peacekeepers.
