11 November 2020 After the cancellation of the premiere of La Scala on 7 December, which will be replaced with a gala without an audience but live on Rai, due to Covid, the Filarmonica della Scala also cancels all the concerts scheduled in the autumn and above all

postpones the inauguration

of the 2020 season / 2021 from December 14

to February



The decision was made at the board meeting on November 9th in which Maurizio Beretta - president of Unicredit Foundation and Head of Group Institutional & Cultural Affairs.

Vice-president is Damiano Cottalasso, orchestra professor, while the artistic coordination is entrusted to three other colleagues, Renato Duca, Daniele Morandini and Gabriele Screpis. 



Fall concert tickets will all be refunded

As for the next season, "the opening of the new series of concerts, defined in the programs and ready to be announced, is postponed to February", explains a note.

calendar

will be

communicated in January

together with the procedures for renewing season tickets and purchasing tickets". 



However, from the Philharmonic they assure that "

initiatives and projects

are

being studied

to reach the public in this second phase of the Covid emergency, as already happened last spring".
