Al-Ketbi said that the center is implementing, for the fourth year in a row, the campaign “Rain is a blessing that does not make it a curse”, which is implemented in cooperation and coordination with a number of bodies, including Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Civil Defense, and unified ambulance, in order to raise the level of readiness to deal With reports of emergency accidents, such as cars stuck in running water, or falling from heights, in addition to traffic accidents.

He added that the center held a coordination meeting with strategic partners, in order to raise the level of permanent preparedness, and joint coordination to deal with any emergency incidents during the winter season, and to enhance awareness of tourists and visitors to mountainous areas, valleys and dams.

He pointed out that the center takes quick measures as soon as the rains fall and valleys run down, in order to achieve a speedy response in the event of accidents, including notifying the patrols to cover all streets, and operating the panels to alert drivers to the need to reduce the speed, in addition to working to coordinate with the General Administration of Transport and Rescue, and teams Land and maritime rescue, in order to be ready to deal with any emergency accident, vehicle trapped in waterways, or a fall accident from mountain heights

He explained that the center is keen to intensify patrols, especially in the areas of valleys and mountains flowing, and these patrols are distinguished by their ability to walk in rugged areas thanks to their custom tires, in addition to containing advanced equipment and technologies that help in direct communication with the command and control center, as well as providing the necessary equipment for rescue. For support and assistance.

He stressed that the patrol personnel are trained to deal with various types of emergencies professionally around the clock, appealing to drivers and tourists to stay away from places of gathering water and valleys, and not to camp in torrents and low-lying areas, once and for all, during rain fall.
