Real Madrid striker Luka Jovi has agreed to pay a fine;

To avoid a 6-month prison sentence for violating the country's lockdown restrictions.

A court in Serbia ordered the 22-year-old attacker to pay a fine of 3.5 million Serbian dinars (about 30,000 euros) to avoid a prison sentence.

Jovic - who had scored only two goals since joining Real Madrid for 60 million euros from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 - returned to Serbia when the Covid-19 epidemic disrupted global sport last March.

The Serbian striker became increasingly troubled with a broken foot in May, missing most of Real Madrid's campaign to claim the La Liga title.

He has only played in two of Real Madrid's eight league matches this season, and has not entered the squad since the victory over Real Valladolid in September.

His last goal came in the 4-1 home win over Osasuna in February.
