Israeli media said that a delegation of businessmen from Israeli settlements visited Dubai to hold economic partnerships, and this comes within the framework of the accelerated normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel.

In the first visit of its kind to be revealed since the conclusion of the agreement to normalize relations between the UAE and Israel in mid-September, the Israeli delegation, led by the head of the Shomron settlement council, Yossi Dagan, traveled on the first commercial flight between Tel Aviv and Dubai.

Channel 20 and the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the delegation traveled to Dubai a few days ago and held a series of economic meetings with an Emirati businessman.

According to the Israeli channel, the settlement delegation, consisting of managers of factories, companies, and businessmen from the industrial zones of the settlement council, met about 20 Emirati businessmen, owners of companies specializing in the fields of agriculture, pesticides and plastics, and managers of large investment companies.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of agricultural crops and water desalination.

In statements carried by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, the head of the Shomron Council delegation, which includes 30 settlements in the northern West Bank, said that there is an opportunity for both sides to benefit from the cooperation that could result from normalization.

The newspaper also quoted Emirati businessman Yusef al-Baidoun as saying, speaking of the visit of the Israeli delegation, that "this is an exciting moment for all of us, I would not have believed that I would witness this thing in my life."

In the context of Emirati-Israeli normalization, which includes the economy, politics, security and other fields, the Jerusalem Post reported late last month about the start of the promotion of wines produced by factories in the settlements of the occupied Syrian Golan in Dubai, to be promoted after that throughout the Emirates.

It is noteworthy that Israelis can now visit the UAE without an entry visa, according to the normalization agreement, which opened the door to direct Israeli flights.
