The small museum and its permanent exhibition "The Waiting Room of Life" are housed in the school library and tell the story of the more than 1,000 people, most of them survivors of the Nazi concentration camps, who were cared for in the building during the summer of 1945.

The inauguration was held on Wednesday in the presence of, among others, the chair of the municipal board in Malmö, Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh (S) and her press secretary Vanessa Marko, who unexpectedly stole a lot of attention.

"Feels great"

One of the exhibition's many stories is about her relative Elisabeth Marko.

- She was my grandmother's aunt and came as the first in my family to Sweden with the white buses in 1945. It feels great to see her picture here on the wall, says Vanessa Marko to SVT.
