The three matches that remained to be played in the 2020 Six Nations Women's Tournament, including France-Ireland on the 5th day, have been canceled, the organizers of the competition stopped by the pandemic announced on Tuesday.

The matches between Italy and Scotland (Matchday 3, rescheduled December 6), Wales and Scotland (Matchday 5, rescheduled November 1) and France and Ireland (Matchday 5, rescheduled on November 1) will therefore not take place "following recent restrictions by governments and health authorities restricting the preparation of teams, travel and organization of meetings," explained the Six Nations committee.

The XV of France female was initially to face Ireland in Villeneuve-d'Ascq but had agreed to relocate its match to Dublin "in solidarity".

Due to a very thorough quarantine protocol, the XV of Clover was indeed in the near impossibility of leaving Ireland.

England, who have played and won their five matches, were in any case sure of winning for the third time in four years.

The ranking therefore remains open with the Red Roses in the lead, Grand Slam as a bonus, ahead of the Blue (two wins, one draw, one defeat) and the Irish (three wins, one defeat).

England center Emily Scarratt (30, 74 caps) was named the Tournament's best player on Friday.
