It is known that the able actress avoided communicating with the media due to her shy nature, as throughout her artistic journey she did not hold press or television interviews except for a few minutes with the journalist Moufid Fawzy in 2000 and the journalist Salma Al-Shammaa in 1986, and another meeting in a documentary about President Mohamed Anwar Sadat for the Broadcasting Corporation British "BBC".

Abla's complete absence

Abla Kamel, who turned 60 in last September, decided to be absent from the artistic scene for about 3 years, which made the possibility of her retirement widely circulating and opening the door to news of her chronic disease.

The last work of the Egyptian actress was the series "Salsal Al Dam", which is classified within the Upper Egypt drama, which was shown in the fifth and final part of it in 2018, and has achieved wide success at the public level.

Abla Kamel reached the height of her brilliance when she participated in the series "Hadith of Morning and Evening", which was shown in 2001 with the character of "Jalila", a role that gave her space for creativity and confirmed her great talent.

The character "Fatima Koshari" in the series "I will not live in the djellaba of my father" in 1996 was the most famous of Abla's entire career, and pictures and videos of her from the series to this day are circulating widely on social networking sites.

The role is her first absolute women's heroism in front of Nour El-Sharif, where she presented the model of the uneducated woman, the seller of "Koshari" and the simple, unspoiled Egyptian wife, and she succeeded in presenting the mother's character to young men who approached her age at the time.

Abla Kamel met with director Youssef Chahine in "Goodbye Bonaparte", "The Sixth Day" and "Alexandria Violin and Violin". The late artist Ahmed Zaki also participated in the movie "Hysteria" directed by Adel Adeeb in 1998.

Her work with artistically heavy names made her more selective in the roles that she was presenting, and the artist did not seek fame at the expense of what she offers.
