Austrian Valentino Lazaro grabbed attention with a distinguished goal in the German League, and became one of the most prominent candidates for the Puskas Prize for the best goal of the year.

Lazaro scored the goal in the match between his team Borussia Moenchengladbach with his host Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday, in the seventh stage of the German Football League.

The player on loan from Inter received a cross inside the penalty area in the third minute of the calculated time instead of lost, and transferred it directly to the goal with a "scorpion kick".

Stop what you're doing and watch this ridiculous scorpion kick goal from @ borussia_en's Valentino Lazaro 🦂🤯

Lazaro's joy was incomplete after his team lost the match, 4-3.

Frenchman Olivier Giroud and Armenian Henrik Mkhitaryan scored twice in almost the same way in past years.
