“According to the Institute's specialists, by the end of this week there is a high probability of fogs in low areas and ice phenomena, which can lead to major road accidents in most of the European territory of the Russian Federation,” it was reported.

In addition, a high probability of snow drifts on the roads is predicted in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Magadan Region and Komi. 

Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that the period of cooling in the European territory of Russia would last at least a week.
