A little softness doesn't hurt, especially during this period.

In Rennes, Bertrand Saint-Yves thus found a good way to brighten up the Breton capital in these times of confinement.

While his establishments are closed, the restaurateur has invited teddy bears to his table instead of his regular customers.

“A friend told me about these teddy bears that had invaded the Gobelins district in Paris and I immediately loved the idea,” says Bertrand Saint-Yves, who manages around twenty restaurants in Rennes.

About fifty soft toys have been installed in three of Bertrand Saint-Yves' restaurants.

Last week, he bought about fifty giant teddy bears before installing them in three of his establishments.

“I'm trying to bring some joy and good humor to this super boring time,” he says.

Especially for the kids who are deprived of Christmas windows this year.

Cuddly toys offered to children for Christmas

Seated at the La Parisienne brasserie, located on Place de Bretagne, the bears amuse the gallery in any case on this Monday afternoon.

"They are so cute, I would really like to join them at the table," smiles a retiree, immortalizing the scene with her cell phone.

Despite his current difficulties, Bertrand Saint-Yves is also showing generosity as he will donate his soft toys to a charity on December 24.

Until Christmas, the bears will sit quietly at the table.

“Unless we are allowed to reopen before, hopes Bertrand Saint-Yves.

In this case, they will be used to ensure the distance between each client!
