Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in turn, submitted to the State Duma several candidates who could head the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

Instead of Alexander Novak, whom the head of the Cabinet proposed to appoint as Deputy Prime Minister, Mishustin proposes to appoint the head of RusHydro Nikolai Shulginov to the post of Energy Minister.

Note that Novak served as head of the Ministry of Energy since 2012.

He stated that he intends to resolve issues of the Energy Strategy until 2035 together with the candidate for the post of the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov.

The Russian Prime Minister recommended the appointment of the General Director of the Far East Development Fund Alexei Chekunkov as Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

According to him, the main task of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East will be the implementation of the national development program for the Far Eastern Federal District (DFO).

As reported by TASS, Chekunkov noted that the backlog of investment development in the Far East is higher than in other areas, since the effect of the implementation of investment projects is visible after several years.

Mishustin proposed making the head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Kozlov the Minister of Natural Resources.

Speaking about the directions of work in the future, he spoke in favor of searching for minerals in the regions in order to develop the economy of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation through mining in the future.

Speaking at a meeting of the relevant State Duma committee, Savelyev said that he intends to make every effort to implement the transport strategy until 2030.
