This is reported by TASS with reference to the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz.

It is noted that such a decision was made on November 8 "in view of activities incompatible with the status of a diplomatic agent, the status of a diplomat, as well as with the goals of being in the Republic of Belarus."

At the end of September, Great Britain and Canada imposed sanctions against the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, his son Viktor and a number of Belarusian officials.

Later, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry announced retaliatory sanctions against Britain and Canada.
